6: KEMistry Concert

April 27: KEMistry Tour

Still riding high from our trip to Aruba, we put on some good clothes and made our way downtown to the Orpheum Theatre. Now… we don’t go “outside” in our own city often, but I LOVE ME SOME KEM and I wanted to make sure to add his concert to my experiences! 

We had great seats… 3rd row… (but they added chairs in the orchestra pit so it was really 5th)…. wither way we were upclose and personal but far away enough not to catch sweat or a crook in our neck from looking up. 

I will say that it took a while for KEM to grace the stage. We were “entertained” with an upcoming R&B artist that I wasn’t too impressed with and series of “Live Commercials” from local business owners and “tv personalities” that I am CONVINCED the local promoter sold slots to make additional money. SMH… overall, the promoter didn’t help KEM out much. The curtains to the stage were open the entire time and you could see all the walking around, soundcheckng the instruments, folks waiting around etc… tacky. Just close the damn curtains.

ANYWAY… KEM finally came out and it was a great show. He sounds just like his tracks, which is something I look for in an artist live. He did not dissapoint. He was on stage for exactly an hour and was done lol. I wanted to hear a few more songs, but I get it. 

Overall, I enjoyed KEM and that’s what I went there to do in the first place. The rest…they can keep lol. Enjoy clips and photos in the gallery!
