1 & 2: Birthday Weekend
All I can say is WOW! April 5 & 6 will go down as one of the most memorable experiences in my life! It was EPIC… Everything from the decor, the venue, the food, the music, the outfits the PEOPLE. My cousins surprised me with a visit all the way from GERMANY! I was out done!
This 40th Birthday Celerbration was definitely a vibe! All about positivity, friends & family coming together in a safe place to be themselves! That’s what this 40 Experiences at 40 is all about!
April 5: Aged to Perfection
Friday was all about Whiskey paired with good food and acoustic vibes. This night was about celebrating with family and friends that I know enjoy a good glas of whiskey. The atmosphere was perfect; giving speakeasy lounge vibes with the warm tones and luxurious feel of the seating, lighting and music. Speaking of… Doll McCoy graced the stage with 2 sets of melodic genius accomponied with only a guitar. She sang all the favorite R&B to Neo Soul jams and had everyone singing along, groving and dancing. It was truly a great experience and felt like a private “Tiny Desk” experience, lol.
The FOOD! OMG Chef Eli Townsend truly showed out with a mouth watering selection of perfectly paired tapas. The menu went as follows:

Speaking of service…. Non other than THE Cynthia Daniels, my homie, was the fabulous event planner for the weekend. I didn’t have to lift a finger! I’m not use to be catered to, but I may have liked it a little too much lol.
April 6: WanderLust
Saturday, my actual birthday, was all about another passion of mine, TRAVEL. The theme of WanderLust was told through getting your passport stamped at the door, exporing cuisine from 5 different countries, the extravegant 3-tier cake, oversized travel photos of mine hung on the brick walls…. It was truly an experience!
Brickwood Hall outdid themselves with the decor sewitch-up. I wanted Saturday to feel like an upscale lounge and it was giving all of that! Be sure to take a look at the photos!
Everyone danced and danced and DANCED to the sounds of DJ One on the turntables. We started with old-school jams and ended the night in rap battles to local Memphis Rap Greats. A TIME WAS HAD!
Again, Chef Eli Townsend prepared global decadence that had everybody going back for THIRDS! The menu went as follows:
