Timeline
The Concept
One of my favorite things to do is travel and enjoy new experiences. So I decided that I wanted to have “40 Experiences at 40” to celebrate the milestone age. It’s all about trying new things, visiting new cities and countries, going back to favorite spots, eating new foods, enjoying concerts, museums, live shows etc… I want to do ALL THE THINGS! Hence the Travel themed invitations and all the extraness.
So… I decided to kick that 40 journey off with my birthday weekend. Now, initially it was a 3 day weekend… but I had to come to the realization that my ass is old and on the third day… I ain’t gonna rise so well. I ain’t Jesus! So we have 2 days lol.
Friday & Saturday are broken into 2 of my passions… Whiskey & Travel. Each night has a theme and each night serves a purpose with different groups of people in my life. So don’t go tripping if you don’t have 2 boarding passes…ok? I still love you and hope you come out to kick of this 40 Experiences at 40 with me!
Whiskey Lounge
We are going to sit back, relax and chill while sipping some of my favorite Whiskey & Bourban brands and mixed drinks with an array of perfectly paired cusines by Chef Eli all while listening to the acoustic sounds of Doll McCoy!
Travel Themed Party
The 6th is my actual birthday, so we are turning ALL THE WAY UP! But in a classy kinda way, I’m a Lady lol. 5 of my favorite countries are represented with authentic-inspired food + beverage pairings prepared by Chef Eli. We’ll dance and sing out loud all night to DJ One, as he takes us on a journey from smooth Neo Soul to a lil Memphis Gangsta Rap late in the evening… Aye Mane! Don’t forget to get your passports stamped! (So bring them with you. Duh)
Aruba!
And I’m out! We’re headed to the beautiful island of Aruba to do absolutely nothing! Chill on the white sandy beaches, sip a cool adult beverage and watch the waves crash. We normally don’t do resorts… but this is the year of new expereinces! Cheers!
Kem Concert
Right after vacation we have amazing seats to catch one of my faves at the Orpheum here in Memphis! I’m excited about this one. Can’t wait to hear Eric sing "Girrrrlllll" every song, lol.
Closed on New House
So…. we did a thing! Eric and I closed on a new home and turned our Bartlett property into a rental. Ushering in 7 & 8… New House + New Business!
DJ Punkin
Ha! Ok, so this was DEFINITELY not on my list, but why not?! I DJ’d a wedding… seriously, a whole ass wedding & reception with equipment and everything lol. Watch out there nah!
